What is a dry pedicure?
My dry pedicures blend techniques from Russian and classic spa pedicures. This most often entails carefully removing dead skin around the cuticles and heels with gentle e-file tools, trimming and shaping the nail plate, and applying polish if desired.
Wet skin can be more prone to tearing, which sometimes leads to more harm when treating calluses and dry spots while wet. Calluses form on our skin as a protective barrier, so aggressive scraping can cause these calluses to grow back thicker. Dry pedicures are designed to be painless and allow for longer intervals between services, as only dead skin is buffed away.
I love offering these kinds of pedicures because they can be easily customized to your concerns (like ingrown toenails, cracked heels, nail lifting, fungus, etc). While I prioritize performing these services dry, I also offer an optional spa add-on with a calming soak, foot scrub, and massage at the end.

How long do appointments take?
Manicure appointments for short nails with a single color average 2.5 hours, while appointments requiring extensions and different art on each nail can take upwards of 6 hours. Pedicures average 1.5 to 2 hours, but may take longer for those with special needs (e.g. lifting nails, ingrowns, fungus, etc). Each appointment is unique in timing as I’m constantly assessing and adjusting each client’s needs based on previous wear and feedback, without cutting corners. Please allow for possible variances in these estimates.
I focus on providing high-quality services without compromise—I appreciate your patience. If you prefer a quicker service, don’t hesitate to reach out so I can help you find a nail technician who meets your scheduling needs.
